Richard J. Smith is the long-time host of TalkTime, a live on-air talk show that provides KAZI's listeners
with a "talk show alternative" where callers can discuss topics they might not be able to address anywhere else. TalkTime is billed as the "program that listens to you." TalkTime went on the air in July 1992.
The Wakeup Call
Mondays & Fridays 7:00am - 8:00am
As one of several interim co-hosts of the Wakeup Call since March 2006, Richard J. Smith
brings 15 years of live, call-in talk show experience to the airwaves. The emphasis those days is on
presenting an open forumfor any topic the audience members want to discuss. Smith's philosophy
that the "phone calls make the show" carries over from TalkTime which airs from Midnight to 1:00am on
Monday mornings.
