Leah Mercer (formerly known as Princess Leah) is an active young lady in the entertainment world locally and nationally.
She comes from a prominant family of trained professional musicians and educators.
Leah has been affiliated with KAZI for over 4 years in which she began on-air helping out the beautiful Ms.Sharon Jaye's shift every 1st Tuesday of the month from 3-5:30pm.
From there, the rest is history....
Leah holds the title as Marketing/Public Relations Coordinator for KAZI.
She is a proud graduate of Texas State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with emphasis in Public Relations and Dance Education.
She is currently pursuing her masters degree in International Relations.
Leah has worked for many media entities including numerous Fortune 500 advertising/pr agencies,Hidden Beach Recordings and Island Def Jam Records.
She is also a classically trained professional dancer in which has earned her many accolades in Texas,Washington, D.C, New York, and Los Angeles.
Leah is currently an award-winning dance director at a middle school and is co-choreographer for a reknowned praise dance team.
She is also a member of various performing arts associations as well as other media outlets.
On the social side, Leah just LOOOVES animals in which if she didn't have bad allergies, she would be like Noah and have 2 of each animal in the world!!!!!

Very often, you might find Leah on TV (on ACTV or as an extra in the TV Series "Friday Night Lights") or out and about on the town (or out of town) just enjoying life, shopping, smiling, dancing and just being a freespirit.
She also has a soft spot for children and the elderly in which she respects and believe they are the sweetest little darlings on earth.
Leah hopes to one day be married happily ever after to someone who will cherish her and be her undeniable soulmate...but for right now...she is too busy moving and shaking and has SUCCESS on her mind!!!
Leah believes she has JUST scratched the surface in this phase we call LIFE and owes all of her persistence and strong work ethic to her parents...
especially her father, Emanuel Lee Mercer who passed away after a long battle with cancer, October 14, 2008.
Last but not the very least, Leah is young person who is a soldier for Christ and is not ashamed to show it. She feels blessed to be put in positions in which she has gained the best mentors from all over the world and can help children along the way.
She is currently in the process of establishing a scholarship open to students at her old high school alma mater who are pursuing college.
Leah believes to remain grounded in the radio/entertainment business (or just anywhere) you have to stay true to who you are, SMILE, and remember the catalyst for why you started out in the business.
